Reactivity Rehab
Understand your dog. Tame their triggers. Transform your life together.
Your Frenchie isn't like every other Frenchie. So why should their training be?
Discover what's driving your dog's reactions, learn how to support their individual needs and build the skills, confidence and connection to enjoy life together.
Beyond barking and lunging
Looking beyond
the reaction
You love your Frenchie. But some days, life together feels smaller than you hoped it would.
Walks become a constant scan for other dogs. A bark or a lunge leaves you embarrassed, frustrated or overwhelmed. You try another training technique, only to wonder why it doesn't seem to help your particular dog.
Perhaps you just want to enjoy the ordinary things: a walk, a visit, a quiet moment outside, without always planning around the next difficult situation.
Barking, lunging and other reactive behaviours can be symptoms of underlying difficulties, rather than the whole problem.
Reactivity Rehab is about investigating what's contributing to the reaction, not simply suppressing what you can see.

The dog in front of you
Your Frenchie is an individual
French Bulldogs and small bull breeds vary in temperament, experiences, health, motivations, behavioural tendencies and individual needs. Sharing a breed doesn't mean sharing the same challenges, or needing the same solutions.
One dog may need more opportunities for appropriate outlets. Another may need different regulation strategies or a different training approach.
Rather than offering a one-size-fits-all plan, Reactivity Rehab helps you investigate and understand your own dog, then focus on what matters for them.
A starting point, not a fixed path
How Reactivity Rehab works
Begin with understanding. Then explore the areas that need your attention. You don't have to work through every exercise in the same order as everybody else.
01
Begin with the Reset
Start with the complete 7-Day Reactivity Reset, included in the programme. It introduces ROOTS and helps you explore different factors contributing to your dog's reactivity.
02
Follow your dog's needs
Identify the areas that need attention and delve deeper into the relevant ROOTS modules. Choose the learning and practical exercises that fit your Frenchie.
03
Return as life changes
Revisit different sections as your dog's needs change. This is a flexible resource to return to, not a rigid linear programme to tick off.
Five areas. Your own approach.
The ROOTS framework
Five separate course modules help you explore the whole picture. Each contains videos, explanations, practical exercises and downloadable resources. Use them according to your dog's needs, not as a compulsory sequence.
Regulation
Helping dogs manage arousal, stress and recovery. Make room for rest and explore what helps your Frenchie feel more settled.
Observation
Learning to recognise body language, identify triggers and understand patterns. Notice the quieter signals as well as the bigger reactions.
Outlets
Discovering appropriate activities and opportunities that meet your individual dog's behavioural needs. Find ways for them to do the things that matter to them.
Training
Building practical skills and helping dogs respond differently in challenging situations, through purposeful games and exercises.
Support
Helping owners manage setbacks, sustain progress and recognise when additional support is needed. The human end of the lead matters too.
Foundational Theory
Three deep dives provide additional understanding and practical guidance, helping you apply the approach to your own circumstances.
ROOTS Explainers
Explore the thinking behind the framework, so the choices you make for your dog have understanding behind them.
Skills Vs Obedience
It's not about teaching tricks or asking your dog to perform on cue. It's about building the skills to cope, adapt and feel differently about the world around them, supporting emotional change, not just a different outward response.
Training for the Situation
Build skills in an easy, low-pressure environment before tackling the situations your dog finds difficult. Then create a practical plan for bringing that learning into everyday life: training for the situation, rather than trying to teach in the middle of it.
Training that fits into everyday life
Progress doesn't necessarily require lengthy daily training sessions. A few minutes of purposeful practice, repeated consistently, can be more useful than an occasional long session.
Enjoyable games and practical exercises can become part of your everyday routines. Look for small opportunities to practise together, at a pace that works for you and your dog.
There are no guaranteed results or fixed timescales. This is about thoughtful practice, not racing towards a deadline.

On the same team
More than calmer walks
Imagine understanding the little things your dog is telling you. Recognising a small success that you might once have missed. Finding a game you both enjoy, and finishing it feeling more connected.
Learning about your dog's needs and working together can strengthen trust, while giving you greater confidence and understanding. It's about helping your Frenchie enjoy life more fully, not just changing how a walk looks from the outside.
Reactivity Rehab helps you approach life together with more knowledge, compassion and practical skills.
